irrelevant and nonsensical

I see via Doug that the rather wonderful (at least from a DBA's viewpoint) Oracle-wtf has been replaced by spam. WTF indeed. APC of Radio Free Tooting fame remarks that this is likely because oracle-wtf was first marked as a spam-blog by google and then deleted. Googles test for spam blogs:

spam blogs ... can be recognized by their irrelevant, repetitive, or nonsensical text

hmm, a good job this site no longer relies on blogger then. Indeed it seems to me that at least part of the time the whole purpose of blogging is irrelevant nonsense, or at the very least its close relative irreverent nonsense.

Actually I'm Andy C

Rather unfortunately there are several different And% C%s knocking about the Oracle space.

The real Andy C is I think Campbell of that Ilk, who has a blog called Oracle Stuff I Should Have Known !

Then there appears to be another Andy C - or possibly the same one - who blogs under the name of Norman Brightside.

Is it happens I am definitely Andrew not Andy, and I usually go by my APC handle anyway.

Cheers, APC

corrected

Thanks - see even the nonsense post contained nonsense. I blame zen, or something.

"The real Andy C is I think Campbell of that Ilk"

I beg to differ!

He may be a fine chap, but is a Johnny-come-lately in the "And% C%s" Oracle guy stakes.

The real article is unquestionably Mr. Norman Brightside!

Neither of whom, in fairness, are APC.

I think it only fair to remark

That doug was as quick as APC to point out my error. If only I worked with people as quick!
